This conference opened the ”games” of young students around the world pursuing a future career in air law. Both the conference and competition were challenging and brought the best of both speakers, professors and students.

An event dedicated to the ”father” of air and space law, Prof. Dr. Nicolas Mateesco Matte celebrating his 100 years. Friends of Dr. Matte and renowned experts joined the celebrations together with the daughter and nephew of Prof. Matte.

Team Aviation Solutions, A.C. POP Law Office and Leiden International Institute of Air and Space Law partnered in the organization of this event. Competition, market acces and the Schengen Space were the subjects of the conference. The event was ranked as one of the top events of its kind.

The Conference was appreciated as being a high class event, bringing together experts from ICAO, EASA, Romanian CAA, ROMATSA who approched issue such as climate change, CO2 emissions reduction and promotion of air law instruments in Central Eastern Europe.

The event was the firts of its kind in Romania and it was opened by Mr. Roberto Kobe Gonzales, the ICAO Council President at that time. The Conference reunited experts from around the world and subjects such as Third Party Liability Convention were discussed.
